Men’s DH Final Sunday 7 August 3:45AM AEST
Snowshoe was one of the wildest races of the year and it continued to deliver spectacular moments and challenges, it was a mudfest that saw so much carnage that it’s surprising that Camille Balanche and Amaury Pierron continued their domination. This round will indeed be different with Camille going down in practice yesterday and breaking her collar bone.
Mont-Saint-Anne has always delivered a gnarly race and this year we will see no different. Brook MacDonald returns for the first time since his tragic crash in the final day of practice in 2019 that nearly ended his childhood dream of riding bikes. He broke his back and suffered one of the most horrific injuries and experiences that anyone has com back from in the history of mountain biking. This year he will conquer the hill….
Amaury Pierron is on fire this year and looks unbeatable but we all know that World Cup racing has many twists and turns, MSA may show us a new path, or will Amaury continue his charge for the overall. Bernard Kerr is shown us his form this year is outstanding and last weekend he stood up in second place to tell us he’s not yet done with World cup racing, will this be the race he takes his first win at?

There are so many riders that can take the win this weekend and the conditions are looking much better than Snowshoe. With Camille out our money is on Myriam Nicole and the men’s race will see us put our money on Loic Bruni. The French are hard to beat at any race and let’s see how this one pans out before World Championships in Les Gets….
