In our latest poll to finish we asked the question of our readers, what discipline do you race? With enduro racing seemingly the most popular we expected a white wash in favour of the newest discipline over downhill and cross country… we were pleasantly surprised……

As expected Enduro racing did in fact take the top step but not in the white wash fashion we expected. The overwhelming force of enduro was in fact not as strong as we expected and the rise of Downhill racing has become all the more apparent. Just under half our readers polled race downhill and approximately 6% race cross country, sadly no one races ‘Anything with lycra’.
We are seeing a resurgence of downhill mountain biking across the nation and our latest readers poll highlights this, something we have noticed here at Brakes Wide Open. The days of triple crown forks are far from over and it’s great to see enduro has not taken over the world of mountain biking……
