The team at Rocky Trail Entertainment are bringing us another epic event for 2022 and a great reason to head to the high country in Victoria. It’s a mountain biking event that gives us three days of racing over the March Labour day weekend in multiple disciplines, delivering something for everyone and a reason to get stoked on bikes. Rocky Trail Entertainment Alpenflow Epic
11-13 March, 2022
Mt Buller, Victoria
The Alpenflow Epic is an event that is designed to embrace all things mountain biking, to foster the young, challenge the old and thrill the rest of us. The weekend kicks off with the Rocky Trail Academy schools competition on the Friday, followed by a Fox Superflow race and the Alpenflow Epic XC Ride on the Saturday. Sunday delivers another round of racing the way you ride with another round Fox Superflow to keep the racers stoked and topped off with The Australian MTB Film Fest from 5pm on Sunday evening.
Rocky Trail Academy Schools Comp – Friday
The Rocky Trail Academy Schools comp is geared towards challenging the young up and coming racers with timed flow sections and a super inclusive racing environment. It’s a chance for kids to get out racing with their school mates and build skills, foster friendships and progress their riding.
Entries
- Open to all Secondary school students.
- Entry cost – $50 per rider, individual registration online
- Entry fee includes all rider photos ( via link to download post-event)
Riders will be grouped by gender and categories
- Juniors – Years 7 and 8,
- Intermediate – Years 9 and 10,
- Seniors – Years 11 and 12

FOX SUPERFLOW 1 – SATURDAY
The first round of the Victorian Fox Superflow series by Rocky Trail Entertainment kicks off in Mt Buller on day two of the Alpenflow Epic weekend. This race involves two stages ‘Abom’ and ‘Copperhead’ and is a shuttled event – wait, no riding to the top just bombing down with your mates in trains between the tape? That’s right, you truly can enjoy the first day and focus on railing berms and smashing out laps with your mates without taxing your legs too hard.
Raceday – Saturday (Trails excluding those listed for racing are open to the public)

RACE ENTRY
ALPENFLOW EPIC RIDE – SATURDAY
If you are after a true reason to punish your legs but saviour the landscape then Saturday’s Alpenflow Epic is a cross country race / ride that will have most of your spandex wearing people gagging for more. It will involve long distances, climbs and epic terrain – something we don’t usually promote but to be fair it sounds pretty rad.

FOX SUPERFLOW 2 – SUNDAY
As the sun rises on the last day of the epic weekend riders dust off their bikes, strap on a lid and head up for one last taste of gravity goodness, Fox Superflow style. Sunday’s race is true Superflow race with three stages that you can race up to five times each with the fastest time counting for each stage, race the way you ride with your mates and flat stick for the last race of the weekend. It’s the second round of the Victorian Fox Superflow Series so points are up for grabs and boasting rights at the end of the day are always worth a beer or two.

0900–1530 – Racing on Misty Twisty, Clancy’s Run, and Gang Gangs

MTB FILM FESTIVAL
What better way to finish off the weekend then to kick back and watch back to back mountain biking edits and hang out with your mates? This coming weekend looks like an epic weekend of mountain biking and a weekend that Victoria has been begging to have for some time. It’s a celebration of all things mountain biking and what better place to enjoy it than Mt Buller.
