The final day of Cannonball 2022 lit the fire in the belly of the downhill racers with some super fast racing on the hill. It’s an event that attracts the best racers in the nation and the depth in the Pro field was epic, to win this race the riders had to be on point. Jackson Frew managed to take the win over a packed Pro field including multiple World Cup Downhillers including Connor Fearon, Kye Ahern, Dean Lucas and Luke Meier Smith. Sian Ahern showed her form on return from injury and looks sets to be the top contender for the National Championship sleeve next week. It was a cracking race and a cracking week out at Thredbo with the return of Cannonball, something the Australian race scene had surely missed.
