The Queensland Enduro Series was hampered by COVID restrictions and cancellations last year and sadly it is no longer running this year. The flame has been carried on though with gravity enduro alive and well in South East Queensland – White lightning Events is picking back up the torch and bringing us enduro racing again for 2022, here’s the race fixtures…..

West Mt Cotton August TBA – RESCHEDULED
West Mt Cotton is home to some of the coolest trails in Brisbane and it only makes sense that round 2 of the series heads here for some Enduro goodness. The date is yet to be cemented but it will be some time during April and will fill the only space in the calendar. Stay tuned for details…
Round 1 Byron Bay 15 May, 2022
Byron Bay is not exactly in Queensland but it is just a stone’s throw across the border and this year it plays host to the second round of the SEQ Enduro Series. Cape Byron Farm looks set to host the event and the private property has been host to quite a few races in the North Coast and Borderline Enduro Series. Racers will enjoy a different location for this round and it’s a great excuse for a road trip to a place we all love.
Round 2 Toowoomba 12 June, 2022
Toowomba is back on the race schedule and Enduro makes it’s way back to one of the best ride locations in South East Queensland. The trails of Jubilee Park are no stranger to Enduro racing and the dusty, gravity filled goodness will certainly test the skills of every rider. It’s always a big day on the bike at Toowoomba so get ready for an epic round of racing!
Round 3 Boomerang Farm 17 July, 2022
Boomerang Farm Bike Park is again back on the racing calendar and it’s always an awesome round of racing. Big Features, fast trails, bike park goodness mixed with some technical DH style trails makes this location a super popular racing spot. Plenty for the photographers to froth on and guaranteed to put a smile on the dial of every racer that straps on a race plate.
Round 4 Mt Joyce 7 August, 2022
It’s been a hot minute since a full Gravity Enduro was raced at Mt Joyce with the last few years seeing the rounds, cancelled or moved. This year it makes a return to the race calendar for the SEQ Enduro Series and it’s technical loose and rocky trails will make sure it’s a challenge. You’ll need plenty of climbing legs for this one….
Round 5 Tamrookum Creek MTB Park 16 October
Easily one of the most demanding race locations in all of Queensland, Tamrookum will bring the steeps to the gravity crowd. It’s a decent hill with no shortage of challenges on the way up and the way down, be prepared to hang off the back and sweat it out. It will be a great way to round out the season and one that will bring the heat.
The SEQ Enduro Series looks set to be a great series with some solid fixtures, an experienced event management company and plenty of riders frothing at the bit for some proper gravity enduro to wrap their teeth around. As always Brakes Wide Open will be there to bring you the action and we hope to see you on the trails…..
