The team at Rocky Trail Entertainment head out to Mt Joyce for the last round of the Fox Superflow South East Queensland series and your last chance to race the way you ride for 2021. Here’s the nitty gritty….

9 – 10 October, 2021

If you haven’t ridden Mt Joyce, then you haven’t experienced some of the regions best trails. Known more for it’s rugged, rocky and steeper technical trails, Mt Joyce is home to one of the best networks in South East Queensland. It’s for this reason that it makes the perfect location for the last round of the South East Queensland Fox Superflow Series by Rocky Trail Entertainment.

How to get there

The Mount Joyce Mountain Bike Trails are located at Lake Wyaralong, accessed via the Eastern Trail Access carpark – approximately one hour from Brisbane.

2021 Stages

The 2021 stages are a fraction different from last year and incorporate some of the less technical trails located at Mt Joyce. This means a less technically demanding course but one that will encompass everything that Fox Superflow stands for – inclusive, grass-roots racing for riders of all levels.

  • FOX Track: Starting on “Big Bertha” before crossing onto the “Sergeants DH” trail to finish in Secret Valley. 2km, 220m vertical drop.
  • STANS Track: Top to bottom, “Bovine Groove” finishing 300m before the short climb up to the Tunnel. 2.3 km, 180m vertical drop.
  • LAZER Track: Starting on “Tunnel Vision” above the tunnel tracks runs down a pedally descent with flat corners then drops on to the little used “Red Ant” which sweeps down parallel to the service road before dropping on to the 4X track to finish in the old quarry. 1.5km and only 75m vertical drop.

The course looks set to have some long stages with no shortage of stamina required and one that will definitely test the fitness of the riders. Each stage can be raced up to five times per stage with you fastest time counting towards the overall time – fastest time gets the win.

It looks set to be another great event by Rocky Traiul Entertainment and it’s the last time to ‘race the way you ride’ before the end of the race season. The relaxed and inclusive race format is the perfect format to get between the tape for the first time or just to send some trains with your mates.

As always we will be out there between the tape to bring you the action and look forward to seeing you out there. Until then, keep the brakes wide open and see you on the trails.
