EMS Queensland Enduro Series

The team that brought us the first taste of Enduro racing in South East Queensland is back with an all new series. For the last few years EMS has been away from the SEQ racing calendar and have been focusing on other events including the EWS Derby race that is held every second year at the moment in Tasmania.

So far they have announced a five race series that will predominantly be held in the South East corner with one race heading North towards Rockhampton. It’s good news to see EMS take up the reigns after White Lightning had to bow out due to border closures and other issues. Stay Tuned for further details.

SCENIC RIM ENDURO SERIES

The Scenic Rim Enduro Series enters it’s third year in existence and its a welcom addition to the race calendar providing some less formal race fixtures in a relaxed environment. This years series looks set to be exclusively held at Kooralbyn Valley MTB Park and entails three events to spaced evenly throughout the year. The first event is February 28 and full race details will be posted on Brakes Wide Open shortly.

SEQDH

The one and only downhill series in South East Queensland looks set to be back for 2021 but details are all still tentative with some dates penciled in but nothing locked in stone as yet. The first round looks set to be held at Coffs Harbour but that may well be out of the question due to border closures, time will tell. We will keep you updated as details emerge.

STAND ALONE EVENTS

This year will surely have some more stand alone events including the Black Snake Downhill held at Kooralbyn among others. Boomerang Farm may well bring us some more events at a club level and the Tamrookum Enduro Festival will likely go ahead. If you want to stay abreast of the race fixtures then make sure you follow us on the socials and we will do our best to keep you informed.

It’s guaranteed to be another different year in racing and another different year for us all in general. We will do our best to make the most of it and just remember, any day on a bike is a good day, so keep your brakes wide open and your eyes on the trail ahead….
