The Lousa UCI DH World Cup double-header is done and dusted and what an epic race event it was. The top riders in the world rounded out the modified season in Portugal amongst some stellar conditions. New champions rose to the top of the pile and some established greats proved that they are still at the top of their game.
Miriam Nicole took the top step in the Elite Women’s category in race one and the GOAT Greg Minnaar took his 23rd World Cup win.

Rain threatened to alter the race in race 2 but it cleared up in time to allow the top riders to roll down the hill and take the hot seat one after another. Marine Cabirou took the top step in the women’s category over Nina Hoffmann and Tahnee Seagrave in race 2. The Men’s category was intensely battled out with the win going to Loic Bruni over Greg Minnaar by less than .2 of a second, Matt Walker rounded out the top 3 and took out the World Cup overall for 2020.
