2019 is shaping up to be an epic race year within the Gravity Enduro scene in Queensland. With a State-Wide series, the Scenic rim series, National cup and club events; the calendar is filling up fast. This year’s State Championships has just been announced and we are heading back to where is all started, Garapine.
Event: Queensland Gravity Enduro State Championships
Location: Garapine
Date: 27 October, 2019
Situated at Garapine Outdoor Centre, a private facility approximately half an hour from Gympie and just under two hours from Brisbane, this year’s championships return to the home of Gravity Enduro in Australia. Hosting Australia’s first Enduro race ever, Garapine has come a long way from its humble beginnings and is now home to 7 purpose built mountain bike trails. Every year this venue hosts rounds of the SEQ Enduro series and this year will see them host the opening round of the new Queensland Enduro Series, and the State Championships.
For those racing this year’s State Championships and are chasing points in the Newly formed National Cup, then this race will be well worth the effort. Second only to National Championships, State Championships will bring in the second highest tier points according to the MTBA National Cup schedule. So if you are keen to chase the title of National Cup Champion then this is an event you just can’t afford to miss, and we are sure it won’t disappoint.
October 27 looks set to be another blockbuster day on the Queensland racing calendar and Garapine will surely put on a show. Registration is not yet open but we at Brakes Wide Open will keep you posted and look forward to seeing you on the trails….
